The PRISM Climate Group provides national gridded climate data that is based on climate monitoring networks. Monthly temperature and precipitation climate normals for the 1971 to 2000 time period were used in the analysis. These PRISM climate products were also used as inputs to a Factor Score Analysis, a Dimensional Reduction Technique, that examined patterns of temperature and precipitation (monthly and seasonal) and terrain.
